Harrachov (Czech Republic)

When count Harrach decided to take skis to the Bohemia, the ski resort of Harrachov came into existence, where soon ski competitions were held according to the Scandinavian model. Today Harrachov ,in the Czech Republic, is an important winter sports and tourist centre. Ski slopes of all levels exist, including several ski jumps and a cross-country race track. Once this environment was particularly known for the large-scale production of glass and you can visit the glass museum which shows how things were done in the past.
