Sölden in short

  • Height: 1377 metres
  • Guaranteed snow
  • Loads of international events held here
  • Superb après-ski and nightlife

Sölden is one of the liveliest and most popular ski resorts in the Austrian Alps. The ski resorts hosts international ski competitions as well as plenty of cultural activities such as concerts and other events, and Sölden always has a pleasantly bustling atmosphere. In terms of après-ski Sölden definitely keeps up the pace, with a wide selection of bars on and off the slopes that start the party going in the early afternoon and keep partying well into the night!

Sölden's ski area, Sölden-Hochsölden-Vent, is large and versatile. Facilities are excellent in both Sölden and Hochsölden, as you would expect in one of Austria's most popular ski areas. The ski area has more than 150km of slopes in total and thanks to the Tiefenbach and Rettenbach glaciers, skiing is possible in Sölden-Hochsölden-Vent from early in the season til late in the spring. Those who wish to enjoy the beautiful ski slopes in this ski area but prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle can stay at the higher hotel village of Hochsölden (2090m). The ski slopes at Hochsölden are simpler and are therefore mainly suitable for beginners and families with young children. Off the slopes, Sölden offers plenty of other activities such as swimming, wellness areas, fitness centres, bowling and cinemas. If you prefer to relax after a day of skiing, you're best off staying in quieter villages like Längenfeld and Vent.
