Les Carroz has an interesting story to tell. In times gone by, the farmers from this region made clock parts as a way of generating extra income and it was actually the local clockmaker who decided to build a ski lift here years back. Les Carroz has since grown into a wonderful family ski resort that has its own ski area with around 55 kilometres of slopes.
The ski area also has a fun park on the Combe de Vemant and the Timalets slope, which is lit up at night-time so the fun can continue after dark. The ski area of Les Carroz is linked to the Le Grand Massif ski area which includes Flaine and Samoëns. Many concerts, festivals, street shows and other festivities are organised in Les Carroz giving this ski resort a really friendly, convivial feel... There are plenty of other snow sports and activities to try here such as dog sledding, airboarding, night sledding, ski-joering, paragliding and even hot air balloon trips! Ski holidays in Les Carroz are packed with excitement and fun!
